Faith's Pov
The first thing I felt was pain. It wasn’t a simple ache; it wasnt just thr burning fire in every part of my body but the pain caused by the injuries inficted on me. They broke my bones.
I tried to move my arm, to push myself up, but I couldn’t. A cold, heavy weight held me down. My eyes fluttered open, blurry with tears and exhaustion.
I was on the cold floor. Around my wrists, my ankles, and across my stomach, were thick silver chains. They burned my skin wherever they touched, leaving angry red marks and l was even bleeding in some places. The smell of my own burned flesh made me feel sick.
A shadow moved in the corner of the dark room. My heart jumped into my throat, beating wildly.
