Ella POV The trunk slammed shut, and it felt like my heart stopped beating.   I didn’t know how long I lay there, pain-shocked, trying to register what had happened. One second, I was storming off in a huff; the next, I was being kidnapped.   I could hear James yelling my name, but not in a panicked way. That meant he hadn’t witnessed it—he was just trying to figure out where I had run off to.
