Jeremy’s POV
Thomas Hale calls me from the police station and tells me he’s dealing with the matters concerning the deputies now that they have the spine of the situation- Morgan Woodford in custody. He expresses his concern for Claire as well, then hangs up.
Natasha calls to get the news directly from me, and also tells me that Daniel is up. It’s 7 AM, and he’s been asking if everything is okay. I know his wolf is sensing that something is off. That’s how it works with family members- we sense emotions, especially strong ones.
Knowing Danny is a big boy and sensible enough to know what’s taking place around him, I tell him that Claire has been hurt, but she is okay, and because I know he will want to come see her because he cares deeply for his stepmother, I add that he could see her l
