Rhett’s POV The frosted glass of the bathroom had been completely blurred by steam, leaving only vague patches of light and shadow. Hot water streamed down my back. I lifted a hand and wiped across my shoulder line; the muscles rose and fell beneath my palm, droplets sliding along the grooves of my body and breaking into tiny points of light under the warm lamp. Time grew sluggish in the mist. Until I reached out and pushed open the glass door. I wore only a towel around my waist. Water dripped from my hair onto my collarbone, then traced the line of my abs and disappeared beneath the edge of the fabric. I picked up a towel and dried my hair unhurriedly.
