My chest jolted violently. In that instant, I could hardly speak. So it wasn’t just me moving closer. It wasn’t one-sided. She was, too. She felt it, too. Suddenly, she sat up and held my shoulders. Then her lips fell against my throat. Soft. Tentative. Gently brushing. My breathing broke apart at once. The sensation was too unfamiliar.
