Damien’s POV
At the office, I was annoyed to find half of the pack council standing in my office on the other side of my desk. They had a petition in their hands, signed by all of the council, save one – Claire, who couldn’t sign anything while she was in a jail cell in Jake’s pack.
The petition, as I gazed at it, made my blood boil.
The audacity of them to present this to me, knowing that it was my family that Claire had threatened.
The only further insult would be if they were trying to get her entirely off the hook, though this petition was almost nearly as bad.
They wanted Claire to be moved to this pack, for her trial to take place here.
