Damien’s POV
The day and time of Stacy’s next appointment with Annette, I took the girls to the hospital in Gray’s pack. We were immediately taken to an exam room in the back where Annette was already waiting. I ushered the girls in ahead of me.
Annette was frowning hard until she saw the girls, then she put on a big smile. “Amy! Stacy! How good to see you!”
“Hi, Mom!” Stacy said.
“Mommy!” Amy added.
They both rushed to Annette for hugs.
It didn’t seem to matter how many times Annette and I told the girls that she was not their mother, they still insisted on calling her that. Right now, as they hugged each other tightly, Annette didn’t even bother to correct them anymore.
