Claire’s POV
In the evenings, after I returned from trial, Sienna and I would talk about everything that occurred. She didn’t get to watch television much here in jail, and while I found her mostly annoying and far beneath me, I didn’t have many options for conversation here. And I didn’t have many friends left either.
For now, I had to take sympathy wherever I could get it. Sienna would have to be good enough.
After explaining all that happened today, I already knew that things weren’t going well for me.
Sienna didn’t help, by snorting a laugh and saying, “You really aren’t getting out of here. Better get comfortable.”
