Jake’s POV
Not trusting my eyes, I immediately sidestepped my father and followed the shade of Sienna out into the main courtyard. Confused, Martin followed along beside me. Only as we both stood in the massive open courtyard with the towering fountain in the center did we both see her standing in a shadow of a marble pillar.
“Sienna?” Martin asked.
Hearing him say her name helped ease some tension in me. For a moment, I had thought myself losing my mind, as there could be no way for my sister to be here.
And yet… there she was, dressed comfortably and holding a drink as if she had become accustomed to this place and this lifestyle. Just how long had she been here, while we had been sending checks to the university for her studies, room, and board?
