As she spoke, a spark of anger seemed to take hold inside of her. Up until now, I had been mostly accepted inside of Jake’s pack. No one other than Sienna really seemed to hate me or give me much mind at all. At least that was what I had thought. Maybe I had been kidding myself. I spent so much time inside Jake’s estate, maybe I couldn’t properly see things the way they really were. People weren’t as bothered by me in this pack as they had been in Damien’s, but that was probably only because here, I had no official position or role.
