“Sienna is wrong,” he cut in. “I know what happened. I know she’s the one who attacked you.”
I waved that away. Having her lash out at me like that had been shocking - and my face was still stinging - but it had also been a wakeup call.
“She also has a point.” I held up my hand to stop him before he could interrupt again. “This isn’t my home. No matter how strongly I feel connected to you and your parents, this just isn’t my place. I don’t belong here.”
