In a flash, I shifted. They shifted too, and together, we began our long, furious trek to the south, to try to save our most southern lands from invasion.
I might hope for a peaceful solution of talking, but I knew in my heart that wasn’t going to be so.
The enemy came here to steal land, not to talk. The only talking they would do would be to demand the land. The only rebuttal they would hear was one delivered with fangs and blood.
I had no illusions about what I was racing toward.
This was going to be a hell of a fight, and as Alpha, I would lead the charge.
