I don't know if I should have felt left out. At that moment, I was just exhausted after a really long day. My belly was full of good food, and I was more sleepy than aroused. I went to bed after brushing my teeth, and was sound asleep within seconds of my head hitting the pillow. Sadly, it wasn't even dark outside yet.
It was pitch black when I awoke several hours later. I glanced at my bedside clock and saw it was four thirty in the morning. I heard soft whispering coming from my doorway, and heard someone bump into something. A soft "ow" accompanied that. I sat up in my bed.
"I can hear you," I said. I kept my voice down, but I wasn't whispering. "You can just turn on the light."
