Adam then considers having a child with his own mother one step further. She has always been there for him and Allie, no matter how life was treating her right then. Would he be okay having a child with her, too, though? Ironically, Adam gets a similar visual as Allie had of herself: Alice is very pregnant with his child. The warmth he feels answers that for him. Alice was a wonderful mother, and another child raised by her would be blessed.
"Allie, what do you think about my having a baby with Mom? Would it be weird?"
She thinks about it briefly, then says, "Can I ask you a couple of questions before I answer?"
"Sure, anything."
"Okay. Do you love our mother?"
"Of Course."
"Do you love Alice, the woman of the house beyond the s*x?"
"Yes, she makes me want to be a better man for her
