Brenda shook her head and hiccuped cutely, as she replied, "This has to work. She needs to let go. I won't watch her have another flashback. I can't handle it. This has to work. We have to make this work. My daughter needs to be happy and just forget about her wretched past."
Alexandra nodded in understanding. She hadn't known about the flashbacks but wasn't surprised considering the poor girl's tormented past. Shaking her head, she added, "This will work.
