(Lena) Cole knew a place on Peachtree that did eggs the way I liked them, simple and well made, nothing overdone. We got a table by the window and ordered and sat across from each other and it felt like the kind of morning that deserved a good breakfast after everything the last week had held. I was looking at the menu even though I already knew what I wanted when Cole looked up. I followed his gaze. Brad was across the restaurant. He was alone, standing near the entrance waiting to be seated, and he hadn't seen us yet. He looked the same as he had at the house viewing. A little tired. A little worn. Like a man who had been doing a lot of thinking and not sleeping enough because of it. I looked back at my menu. "I see him," I said quietly. "I know," Cole said. "Don't do anything,"
