Cole's eyes closed briefly.
A second later, so did mine.
For a little while, neither of us moved.
We simply stayed there together.

We stepped into the shower together, the water warm against my skin. Cole washed my hair for me, his fingers gentle as they massaged my scalp. I closed my eyes and let myself relax into his touch.
"You didn't answer my question before." He said.
"What question?" I asked.
"Whether I told you how beautiful you are."
I smiled, tilting my head back against his hands.
"You told me," I said. "I just like hearing it twice."
He laughed quietly, the sound low against my ear, and pulled me closer under the warm water, in no hurry at all.
