I had barely sat down at the conference table when an uncomfortable feeling of dread and anxiety started to overwhelm me. I loosened my tie and shifted my weight, but I couldn’t shake the fear. Something was wrong, I just couldn’t pinpoint what or where, or with whom. I bolted out of my seat. “I’m sorry gentlemen, I’m going to have to postpone this meeting!” I said over my shoulder as I plowed out of the room.
I let instinct lead me through the halls, and found myself heading for the access door to the sub levels. But before I reached the security panel, the door burst open, and Nash pushed out, looking frantic.
