With my new sense of determination, came a new sensation throughout my body. I'm not sure if I let go of something holding me back. Or maybe this is just adrenaline rushing through my veins. Regardless, for the first time since I've been here, I feel like everything is going to be alright.
"Sabina?" Bexley asked me.
I kept my eyes on Alessio as I stood up straight. I can still feel that intense pain, but it's almost like it's in the background. Like whatever is pulsing through me now has pushed that pain aside.
"Sabina, don't do anything too rash yet. Let me go in first. You're the one they're after," Bexley said.
