I took the file from Priya and looked at the page myself. Claire's termination date matched the year Adrian had mentioned. Warren Pryce's name appeared at the bottom as the person who approved it. He had been involved in Adrian's life before Adrian was even born.
"Why would Pryce have authority to fire her?"
Priya opened another page.
"He was director of corporate finance at the time."
I looked at Claire's position.
"She worked for my father."
Priya nodded.
"But Pryce filed the termination."
There had to be a reason.
"What's listed for cause?"
Priya pointed to the line.
"Violation of company policy."
I read the rest.
There was no explanation of what policy Claire had supposedly violated.
"Where's the supporting report?"
Priya checked the folder.
