I had another meeting scheduled for eleven, so I gathered the documents I needed and headed to the conference room. Priya was already there with two department managers, discussing the figures for the next quarter. I greeted everyone and took my seat. We spent the next hour reviewing budgets and deciding which projects needed additional funding.
When the meeting ended, I returned to my office and found a message from Adrian. He wanted to know whether I had time to meet him for lunch next week. I checked my calendar and saw that Tuesday was available. I called him instead of replying.
"Hey, Sebastian," he answered. "Did you get my message?"
"I did." I sat behind my desk and opened my calendar. "Tuesday works for me if you're available."
"Tuesday's good." He sounded pleased.
