I watched as the plans, the truth and the level of deceit played before my eyes. I was appalled, but I also knew I shouldn’t have been surprised. This was precisely why Meadow and I kept ourselves guarded. You can’t trust anyone, it seemed.
“Does it not seem a little weird to anyone else that Alpha Rollings would agree to a meeting with a council member to admit his involvement?” Miles asked, narrowing his eyes as he absorbed the information that Alpha Rollings and Councilman Burns were spilling to one another.
