Hilary’s eyes begin to flutter, and she groans as she raises her hand to her head.
What happened? She thought to herself as she tried to push herself up to sit.
“Try not to move, miss.” A soft woman’s voice was heard, causing an alarm to register in Hilary.
Opening her eyes, Hilary surveyed the sterile medical room. “Where am I? What happened?” she asks groggily as she rubs her eyes.
“You are in the Council’s hospital wing. It is typically used for medical examinations and testing, but you fainted while in the Head Councilman's office. They had you brought here for monitoring.” the woman explained.
“Who are you?” Hilary shook her head, still confused.
