I adjusted my laptop screen, grinning like an i***t as Walker’s face popped up on the video call. It was late evening, and I was still elated, happy, joyful from my second week working at the company.
“Dude, you look way too happy for someone with an unpaid intern work,” Walker laughed, leaning back in his chair. “Spill it. How’s the new gig?”
“Man, it’s incredible,” I said, unable to stop smiling. “I’m interning under the best department in the firm. The department head Rebecca is just cool, she's super confident, ambitious and although bossy, that woman knows exactly how to run a company.
