I knew the press conference would draw crowds, but nothing prepared me for the wall of humanity that greeted us when we stepped out from backstage. The sheer mass of people packed into the ballroom was overwhelming—a sea of faces, cameras, and excited energy directed at us.
*This is... a lot more intense than I expected,* Jasmine, my wolf, whispered inside me, her presence both comforting and equally startled.
Spotlights swung in our direction, blinding me as they locked onto our position. The rapid-fire clicks of camera shutters created a constant background rhythm, while flashbulbs exploded like miniature lightning strikes.
