Last night, Murdark didn't sleep much; this had been happening a lot. It seems the closer the war comes, the less he sleeps. He realizes that going up against Namakaehe is breaking all the laws. He's already considered a traitor among all campires becasue he kidnapped the queen. He had no idea she was the queen. But he doesn't regret his actions. He thought for sure that Shilio would have developed some feelings for him besides hatred.
He looks around, wondering why it is so quiet. Usually, Lavender and Gambit are always at each other. Murdark looks in the den, but neither one is there. He sits down thinking, at least he doesn't have to listen to them bicker.
As soon as he feels comfortable, Lavender enters the room, asking where Gambit is. She said she hasn't seen him since last night
