In the morning, Eddie and Kalea were heading down the hall toward the stairs when they ran into Delko and Astrid coming out of their room. They smiled and said their morning greetings. Astrid immediately noticed the change in Kalea’s scent.
“Oh! Oh! Oh!” She exclaimed as she pointed at them.
“Astrid, why are you shouting?” Delko asked.
“They mated! They completed the mating process!” Astrid squealed. Delko looked at Eddie, and his eyes went to the mark on his neck.
“Alpha Branson, congratulations,” Delko said with the utmost sincerity.
“Thank you, General.”
“Oh, congratulations, darling!” Astrid said as she joyfully hugged Kalea.
