“Good morning, baby,” Eddie whispered as he looked over at Kalea. It had been two weeks since they went back to the Royal Pack, and there were still no signs of Kalea waking up. Although she showed more signs of brain activity, according to the Royal doctor, she showed no signs of awakening. The Royal doctor, with a glimmer of hope in his eyes, encouraged Eddie to speak to her every chance he had. Based on her brain function, Kalea could hear everything. So, that’s just what Eddie did. Every morning he woke up, he told her good morning on the off chance she would say it back. This morning was no different.
