Lora’s smile widened. "He misses you terribly. It’s been hard to keep him away, but I know he’ll be thrilled to see you again."
When they were about to leave, Lora took Kaia’s hand and looked into her eyes with emotion. "Kaia, I’d like for us to be friends. I want you to know that I’ll always be here for you, no matter what. We are family!"
Kaia’s heart swelled with gratitude. She hugged Lora tightly, feeling the bond between them strengthened. "Thank you, Lora. That means more to me than you know. Plus, you are a blessing to us. I still can’t believe that my brother has a mate, especially someone so special as you."
After Azriel and Lora departed, Kaia remained with Markus. He smiled warmly at her, "I'm really happy you decided to stay, Kaia," he said, his voice filled with emotion.
