Kaia nodded. "I understand. I'll do whatever it takes to protect our people and I agree with you. We don’t want to share it with anyone else."
Markus took her hand and squeezed it gently. "We need to stay strong and united. Together, we can overcome this."
Azriel stood up, his expression resolute. "I'll brief Lora on our strategy and make sure she's ready for what's to come. Let's get to work."
Markus nodded, standing as well. "I'll contact Layzal and inform him of our plan. We'll need his cooperation to ensure safe passage through vampire territory."
