I have to know the truth.
I never thought Layla would betray me, but as I stand in my office with several palace guards and warriors around me, I can’t help but wonder if this is truly happening.
Then my mind turns to Vincent. Will he be out there in the forest too?
“Alpha, are you with us?”
I look up at the warriors around me and sigh, “If Delta Layla has betrayed us, we will deal with her according to the laws.”
They stare at me in disbelief, and I understand. Layla has been the most loyal of my pack members, and the thought of her betraying us is almost laughable.
