Orion My brain was cooked. Her scent was all over the place. Strong, sweet, and impossible to block out. It was sweet, like roses after a storm, but with something darker underneath. Something wild. Raw. It hit every nerve like a punch. Something rumbled in my chest. I didn't let it out. I just stood there, trying to wrap my head around what she'd said. "You're… in heat ?" I asked, my voice rough, barely more than a whisper. Was that why she looked like she was about to fall apart ? Hold on...wasn't she supposed to have ASPD ? People like that don't cry. At least, that's what I thought. But maybe she was misdiagnosed. Wouldn't be the first time a doctor got it wrong. Then she started trembling. "No!" she gasped, the word breaking apart between sharp breaths.
