“What will you do?” Lilian asked softly.
The corners of my lips curled into a smirk. I didn’t know exactly how yet, but I wasn’t going to sit back and let this ruin my life.
“Dominic thinks I’ve hurt his brand,” I replied, my hands dropping to my waist. “He says my actions have endangered his precious Adlese. But what he doesn’t realize… I was the one who made that brand what it is. I stood by him, helped him build it from the ground up. Without me, he’d be nothing.”
Lilian stepped closer, her eyes searching my face. “So?”
I leaned in, looking her straight in the eye.
“If Dominic wants to use Adlese as a weapon, then I’ll turn it against him. I’ll make him regret ever messing with me. Without me, he’s still just another businessman with a small name.”
