After I found Stone, I filled him in on what Octavious told me. He agreed that he'd keep a closer eye on her, and when she was about to go, he'd get her moved. He said that when she was first brought in, she was struggling. But now that she knew she was safe, she must feel safe enough to leave this world.
It was about an hour later when Midnight came back. Once he was back, I found Mom and handed the baby to her and let her know that we would be back. Once I had my purse, Midnight and I headed out to run to the house really fast. It wouldn't take long because I knew what I wanted to grab.
A couple of the brothers who were back went with us out to the house so that we weren't alone on the bayou, just in case. When we got to the house, I had to wait for them to do a sweep of it.
