Several minutes passed after Dominic left. The room felt different afterward.

The doctor laughed.
I managed a smile.

When the examination was over, he reassured us again that everything looked good and reminded Leo to avoid touching the bandage.
Leo promised.
Then immediately touched it the second the doctor looked away.
The doctor sighed.
I rubbed my forehead.
Leo grinned.
Eventually, Mia left too.
She squeezed my shoulder before heading home, promising to return tomorrow morning with a change of clothes for Leo and me.
