“How the hell do you mistakenly sign a contract?” Hayes’ voice cut through the quiet garden sharply. The pool lights reflected faintly across the whiskey glass in my hand as I looked up at him. “It was last Friday,” I said calmly. “I was supposed to meet a client at a restaurant.” Ford’s brows pulled together immediately. “And when I got there…” I paused briefly before taking another sip. “Dominic was there.” The atmosphere shifted again.
