The flight back home was thankfully uneventful. Elena and Massimo were able to return to the Ferraro estate without issue.
But, of course, as soon as they arrived there, Massimo wanted to hear an update from his second-in-command. Elena stood faithfully nearby—if there was any issue that arose during their absence, she would need to know about it, too.
Luca already had fully written up reports to hand Massimo. He briefly described a few conflicts that needed to be mediated, but it was nothing major.
"The only remaining thing of any importance," Luca continued, "is that the renovations for St. Camillus Hospital finished."
"Already?" Elena asked. Even with the resources of the Ferraro family, she had expected such extensive changes to take another month or two to finish up.
