Elena stared at her roommate Aria. Why was she at the Ferraro estate in the middle of the night?
But Elena immediately chides herself. Aria is Massimo's husband—she must have been to his home before. And, as his wife, Aria can come and go as she pleases.

Had Elena really been about to kiss Massimo? Another woman's—her best friend's—husband?
Elena pulled further away from Massimo as Aria rushed into the room. Luckily, Aria hadn't seemed to notice the emotionally charged atmosphere.
Aria's focus was entirely on Massimo.
"Oh my gosh," she cried as she rushed to Massimo's side. "I came as soon as I heard you were hurt. Are you in any pain?"
Massimo barely met Aria's eyes. He looked annoyed. "I'm fine—Elena has already taken care of everything."
