Elena hurried out of the hospital. A doctor had finally come to check on Aria and started treatment. Elena had actually heard about his thoroughness from a few colleagues back before she accepted Massimo's position—so Elena knew Aria would be in good hands.
"Go," Aria said after giving her friend a quick hug. "You shouldn't be too late if you leave now."
"I should call Mr. Fabio to let him know—"
"No," Aria interrupted her suddenly. "You said he's a gentleman right? He and his grandson should still be waiting—they probably figured you just got caught in traffic—so don't stall any longer and go find them!"
So Elena left. She ran to catch a subway train, not trusting the bus at this hour. There would be too much traffic.
