I stood in the hallway for a moment, then went upstairs.

Phineas was on the phone with Benny for the better part of an hour.
He laid out the sequence methodically, the way he always worked - from the known facts outward toward the most probable conclusion. Neil Dawson had tried to extort Aurora and failed. He'd fled to Australia. When he returned, he hadn't gone back to Aurora. The most logical reason was that he'd realized she wasn't a viable target. So he'd found another one.
Sienna's public standing as Richard Rathbone's daughter wasn't a secret in every circle. Neil would have known. And Sienna had far more to lose - and far more resources to deploy - than Aurora had ever had.
