I hurriedly dashed to the closet, only to find it empty--Emre's clothes were nowhere in sight. Caspian strolled into the room with Wolvin, who caught me anxiously scanning the area.
“Is she okay?” Caspian asked Wolvin, who scanned me very attentively before trying to come closer to me. However, his steps halted because Caspian had already started answering my silent query.
"If you're searching for Emre, we spotted him heading into Lord Bernard’s study with some bags. I heard the trial got canceled. Are we moving out?" Caspian inquired casually, glancing around. A wave of dread washed over me as I realized Emre was determined to leave.
"He's calling off the marriage," I murmured, running my hands over my face.
