It was all getting too overwhelming for me. I never expected him to turn out like this.
"Huh!" I scoffed as she spilled all the beans just to witness my tears.
"And you accused me and my father of using others," I retorted loudly, refusing to let the tears and pain blind or silence me. The triumphant smile on her face turned to anger as I stood my ground.
"My son is nothing like you and your father; you better not accuse him of lying!" she screamed, lunging toward me. Before her hand could hit me, I grabbed it and stared into her eyes.
