I had been in my room, waiting for the signal from Aubry to set my brother free and run away with him. Instead of going alone to Kellice, I had decided to take my brother with me. I didn’t feel right leaving him behind. There had been a few failed attempts. Last time, when Dom and Garlin went out shopping, they returned quickly, so we couldn’t escape.
Now, it was almost time. Everyone seemed to have forgotten about Edward for the moment.
After what felt like hours, Aubry finally arrived on her tiptoes and nudged me awake. I couldn’t believe I had dozed off.
