“Ahhhhh,” I screamed as I jolted upright in bed. My heart raced as I struggled to catch my breath. I had also woken up Aiden who spent the night with me in my room.
“Noah, what’s the problem?” He asked with a worried and concerned look on his face. “Did you have the nightmare again?”
I nodded, my eyes welling up with tears. “I did,” I replied. My voice cracked as I spoke. Aiden pulled me into a comforting hug. He gave me soothing strokes on my back, trying to calm me down.
The weather was cold but I was sweating profusely. My skin was clammy and cold.
