We had barely gotten to the middle of the town when I suddenly crashed into someone. I could have sworn the road was clear.
I hit the brakes and the car halted to a stop. Dimitri and I rushed out to find a female lying on the ground. To my surprise, it was Jessica, giving me a mischievous grin.
“What is wrong with you?” I asked, taking a deep breath of relief when I saw she was okay. She had purposely run into the road.
