I went to work the next day. As I walked the hall where my office is, I stopped by the reception area and smiled when I saw the goldfish swimming in its bowl.
“I can’t believe that is still alive.” I told the girl behind the desk.
“We have been taking good care of Bullwinkle.” She laughed and then added, “It’s been fun explaining why we have a fish named that.”
I shook my head and handed her a container. “Courtesy of Mrs Kolowski.” I told her.
“Mrs Kolowski?” She questioned.
“Mikey’s mother.” I clarified for her.
“I was going to say, I didn’t think Mikey was married. Though I will admit that it will be a sad day when he dies. He is definitely a catch.” She said.
I shrugged, I am not commenting on that. I have to be professional. But I do agree that I think Mikey is a catch.
