I watched as Macey left the office. I saw the hurt in her eyes when she heard what Jorey and I were fighting about. It was only there for a moment, but I noticed it before she quickly put on a mask. I saw that too.
“Are we done here? I have stuff I need to do,” Jorey said, sounding bored.
