Last night was interesting. Macey prepared a fantastic dinner, and it was nice to have just the two of us at home, enjoying our meal together.
It's not that no one has ever cooked for me—every time I visit Liam's house, I get a home-cooked meal. But this felt different.
After dinner, Macey mentioned she had a headache and wanted to lie down in the guest room. I understood why; her phone had been lighting up constantly.
It must have been on silent because I could see that someone was trying to reach her. My guess was it was her family calling.
I headed to my room and went to bed. At one point, I rolled over and felt a warm body next to me.
