When I got in my car with Helen, I started laughing.
“What joke did I miss?” Helen asked me.
“Nothing, just watching you with Mikey. You are not going to baby him are you?” I asked her.
“Oh I will baby him, he did get hurt. But I’m not letting him get away with stuff either. I’m still his mother, not his friend.” Helen told me.
Interesting words, with my family they didn’t even treat me like I was a friend. I honestly don’t know if they really parent me either.
“So what exactly are these Kolochies your making?” I asked her.
“It’s this cookie that’s in a pastry crust, similar to pie crust I guess you can say. But has a filling and fold them like little diamond pillows. It’s popular in the Northeast. Those and nut rolls.” Helen told me.
“Nut rolls are like pumpkin rolls?” I ask
