I could hear the battle before I could even see it, as a mix of low growls and whimpers carried in the night’s cool breeze against our wolves’ fur, while we raced towards the black cloud that blanketed the northern forest. My wolf was restless and more than eager to join the fight, knowing that our mate was out here in these same exact woods.
After thinking we had lost her for the past couple of days, not only had my heart been broken but so had my will to live, but now knowing that she was alive, I was bound to do everything in my power to save her. That was why I had chosen to stay behind with Chase, and bring the Alpha Rogue King’s army, because I knew there was no way in hell that we were going to be able to defeat these bastards on our own.
